Don't you wish you'd received one of these in the mail?
Was it rude or was it clever? If he (or rather, his wife...) answered so many letters he needed a form like this, you can only imagine how much he must have spent in postage (and paper and envelopes) on a yearly basis. _________________

Well, it's definitely better than no response at all! And interesting to see all the possible replies, too.
I wonder how often he had to check the "please do not write to me again" answer? _________________

I think from most authors, that would be insulting, but Heinlein can pull it off somehow and make one think, "Ingenious!" |
