Sorry it didn't go smoother, guys.

I don't know if it will be in the Podcast but I messaged Ben about how Kris Straub accidentally muted himself during his Podcast. Talkshoe is really buggy.

In order to dial in using SKype, you need to either have SkypeOut credit or a paid SkypeOut account. There doesn't seem to be any other way of connecting via Skype. The four of us (later six, counting Aaron and Euan) were all conferenced in through me.

I was using X-Lite to call in. Don't know how I figured out how to do it though.

I sat in and listened to the rest of the recording after the chat froze. I was able to hear it, and it got back on track and ended pretty well actually with a discussion about writing. Good show overall, pity about the chat client breaking.

Yeah the chat broke at the exact moment I was about ready to call back in and stop them from babbling. Its almost as if someone didn't want me to stop the babbling. I wonder who that could be...

The lag on Talkshoe seemed pretty bad even while it was working -- which is a bit of a problem in an unmoderated program like ours; there was a lot of lag-induced stepping on each other's words.

It wasn't at it's worst though. Listen to the Krist Straub show stream Episode 1. There was a five second lag between each and every word.

the Talkshoe page claims the episode is either 4 minutes, 40.48 seconds long, or 4 HOURS, 40 minutes long.

How possible is it that Talkshoe bugged out on you all and recorded two and a half hours of silence?(I'm listening to their recording now... Yes, it's midnight. No, I did not think this decision out very well.)

Very possible, apparently! And then another hour of silence past that.
