Yeah, that's a good choice too; I liked it as a kid. It's a slight bit on the scary side and with some violence, but not too bad. |

Unlike fantasy, it's hard to find decent family-friendly SF movies. You have Star Wars ep. IV of course, but I'm guessing the kids have already seen this enough. A few other ideas:

I don't think my comic would work very well as a movie, especially a live-action one. You'd have to change too much, to the point of not even being worth it.
