Were they the Alan Dean Foster novelizations of the animated show or the James Blish novelizations of the original series? (Original draft scrips, in some cases, which resulted in a lot of strange di ...

I also like the added back story in the "Wrath of Khan" novel about Sasvik and David. I think they even dealt with Saavik being half Romulan?
Yes, thanks for the memory jog. That was some ...

Gotta watch out for those radioactive space typhoons.

I must have read the Wrath of Khan novelization, because I seem to recall a graphic description of Khan's fatal injuries as he struggles to spi ...

I don't think my comic would work very well as a movie, especially a live-action one. You'd have to change too much, to the point of not even being worth it.

It might work as animation, but in that ...

I guess that's another point worth mentioning, although we have talked about it in a previous program -- that for storytelling purposes, there may be a limit as to just how alien you really want to ma ...

I don't think making aliens "alien" is very hard... all you have to do is choose the opposite of every human characteristic and you got a pretty strange alien. However, making aliens that ar ...

Even if you could record everything a person says and does, you're still talking about an AI programmed to simulate a person, and not the person himself. Most socially functioning people do not say ev ...

I bought the DVD of the CGI series (Marauders) and didn't really care for it. I thought the first movie was fine for what it was... a gory bug-shootin' fest. I haven't any interest in sampling the two ...
